As a professional organizer who works with residential clients, I see it all. More often than not, my job with a client begins in the kitchen, playroom or various closets around the house.

Paying to have unwanted clutter removed is never something you want to do, but a few key questions can make process less painful.

You've lived in your house for a few years now, and you haven't had to make any major repairs. You know there may be something coming up, but you're not sure how often you're supposed to maintain your home's high priced items such as flooring, roof, etc. Below are a few tips on a some major repairs that will be required in your home's lifetime.

The warm weather is here to stay, and now is the time to get going on those home renovation projects you've been thinking about all winter. Perhaps the most important question you will need answered before you get started is - do I need a permit for this project?

While there are a lot of things related to home improvement that you can do yourself (and might even enjoy doing), junk removal is probably not one of them. It’s labor intensive, tedious, and at the end of the project you don’t produce anything new. Nevertheless, that pile of clutter continues to build up and over time it becomes a necessity to get rid of it.

The term junk hauling doesn’t do our industry justice, but clutter recycling isn’t a term that will stick. Clutter Recycling, however, is a better definition for what we do. A responsible junk hauler does take pick up your clutter and take it directly to the dump.

There is something fabulous about thrift shopping, second hand and junk! I have great memories of being a child and having my parents take me to second hand stores, garage sales and thrift shops, especially when we were travelling- the would even come home from the dump sometimes with more than they took!
