Junk King Honors Essential Workers in Month of Appreciation Campaign

Posted by Junk King on Oct 27, 2020 2:29:58 PM

Essential workers are making a remarkable difference on the frontlines as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

For example – Erin, a teacher, helped a student who couldn’t recognize letters learn how to read by the end of the school year. A parent noticed how much she had invested in getting students excited about remote learning, a proposition that might have been otherwise challenging. Similarly, grocery store worker Aliscia is making essential contributions in her community.

During the month of August, Junk King recognized such exemplary contributions by honoring and providing free junk removal services to essential workers. Our Month of Appreciation social media campaign encouraged customers in Junk King communities to nominate a special person for recognition in four categories: healthcare staff, first responders, grocery store workers and education professionals.

As a crowning moment, several individuals who were submitted earned extra recognition and a free junk removal from their local Junk King. Here is a video of the Junk King Portland team visiting one of the winners: https://bit.ly/3jVb3bz.

Nationally, Junk King earns high ratings not just for exemplary customer service and satisfaction, but also for the value we invest in our communities. We recognize that business is about relationships. Programs such as the Month of Appreciation for Essential Workers develop community bonds between our franchise partners, their teams and the customers they serve.

The August initiative to celebrate essential workers is just one way in which we were able to show support for the communities we serve. Junk King will continue to be an integral part of the community landscape for many years to come.

Make a difference in your community by becoming a Junk King franchisee.
