Another downside of those over-sized garbage containers is the damage they can do to asphalt parking lots and concrete driveways. They tend to slide a bit when they are dropped off, which can scrape and gouge. And, if that were not enough, they tend to drag and scrape some more when they get picked up and hauled away.
