The Junk King franchise team is thrilled to announce an incredible milestone. Our first-ever franchise partners, Erik and Marta Hughes of Junk King Columbus, have officially renewed for a second 10-year term after 10 years of franchising!
Drawn to the opportunity to go into business ownership for themselves with a company built on a green philosophy of recycling, reusing and donating, Erik and Marta took a chance on Junk King – and we couldn’t be happier that they did. We’ve been very fortunate to grow with such a hardworking, passionate couple that represents who we are as a business and all that we strive to achieve, and we’d like to congratulate them on their accomplishments.
“We can’t believe it’s already been 10 years since we’ve opened our Junk King Columbus location,” says Erik Hughes, co-owner of Junk King Columbus. “It’s been exciting for us to see how quickly the brand has grown since 2010. The clutter we have been able to remove from our customers’ lives while helping to minimize the amount of waste in Columbus’ landfills has been rewarding for Marta, my hauling crew and I. Thank you to the Junk King family for trusting us to be its first franchisees all those years ago.”
As we celebrate a decade with our first-ever franchise partners, we can’t help but feel nostalgic and excited for the future of Junk King. When we were founded out of a garage in 2005, we never anticipated that we would grow to become the #1 rated service brand in North America – with more than 100 franchise locations – so quickly.
