A Family Affair: Build Your Legacy with Junk King

There are tons of benefits to owning a franchise – for starters, you get to flex your entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen without the uncertainty of going at it alone. Not to mention, it’s a great way to become involved, leverage your local ties and make a lasting impact on your community. At Junk King, many of our franchisees not only work alongside our robust and dedicated franchise development team, but also their own families!

Take father-and-son duo Brian and Mike Cassidy of Junk King Reno, for example. When Brian moved his family from Los Angeles back to Reno where he grew up, he and his father looked into a number of opportunities that would enable them to own their own business. They determined that franchising with Junk King would be the best approach for their family.

“The beauty of having a franchise business is that you have the control, and you have the ability to make changes if you want to improve on certain things. You can only get that if you own your own business,” said Mike. According to Brian, the amount of doors franchising with Junk King has opened up for their family is “astronomical” – check out this video of Brian and Mike Cassidy to learn more about their journey with Junk King!

Our franchise system is also home to multiple “couplepreneurs.” Husband and wife team DeWitt and Shelly Rote, owners of Junk King San Antonio, are very ingrained in their community and are passionate about making a positive impact on those around them and the world we all share. “We think of Junk King as helping all different kinds of people and meeting their needs. I really like to recycle, donate to local charities and repurpose discarded or worn out items and give them new life!” said Dewitt.

Greg and Peggy Lymath, owners of Junk King Gold Country, are another husband-and-wife duo who have a shared passion for giving back to their community. Their daughter, McKenna, works closely alongside them on marketing and giveback efforts. Currently, the family is working on a fundraiser partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of the North Valley launching in March.

Many families are attracted to franchising in particular because of the opportunity to create  more stability and wealth from a business that can be passed down through generations. With Junk King, families can work together to build a kingdom that empowers them to not only make an incredible impact on the community through our eco-friendly junk removal services, but also create a lasting legacy. We welcome individuals and families from a variety of different backgrounds to discover how they can achieve their personal and professional goals with Junk King!
